Dekorative Graphik - Ansichten – Die Aquatinta "Panorama du Havre-de-Grace pris de la côte d'Ingouville" von Frédéric Martens zeigt einen beeindruckenden Rundblick auf den Hafen von Le Havre, gesehen von der erhöhten Küste Ingouville aus. The aquatint technique provides rich painterly tones and a nuanced representation of light, atmosphere, and architectural details. Frédéric Martens (1806-1885) was an important veduta and panorama artist known for his finely crafted cityscapes. The prints were published by Rittner & Goupil. Aquatint is characteristic of Martens' work-it allows for delicate gradations and detailed views that are both documentary and atmospheric. - Slightly browned with a few water stains and two small tears in the white margin. As a coloured view rare.
