Dekorative Graphik - Ansichten – Fein ausgearbeitete Zeichnung der Pfarrkirche von Fröschweiler im Elsass. Ein Vorgängerbau wurde bei der Schlacht von Wörth zerstört, der hier dargestellte Neubau an selber Stelle erhielt bei seiner Einweihung am 30. Juli 1876 den Titel Friedenskirche. - Das Motiv der Zeichnung fand in Folge als Holzstich des Nürnberger Künstlers und Kupferstechers Johann Karl Lösers weitere Verbreitung. - Im Motiv mittig mit kl. u. unscheinbaren Löchlein, im Blattrand mit Spuren vorheriger Montierung bzw. Rahmung, rechts mittig mit kurzem Einriss, die Ecken etw. bestoßen. Insgesamt wohlerhaltene, detailliert ausgeführte sowie fein illuminierte Orig.-Zeichnung.

Signed, dated, and inscribed. - A finely detailed drawing of the parish church in Fröschweiler, Alsace. A previous building was destroyed during the Battle of Wörth, and the new building depicted here, constructed on the same site was consecrated on July 30, 1876. The motif of the drawing was subsequently disseminated as a wood engraving by the Nuremberg artist and engraver Johann Karl Löser. - Small, inconspicuous hole in the center of the motif, traces of previous mounting or framing on the edge of the sheet, short tear in the center right, corners slightly bumped. Overall, a well-preserved, detailed, and finely illuminated original drawing.
