Illustrations depict numerous reptiles, amphibians, etc., as well as maps, charts, illustrations based on photographs, drawings etc. - Provenance: Title page and some plates and text pages of vols. 6 and 7 stamped with the 'Vogelwarte Rossitten' stamp, title pages of vols. 13-15 bear the stamp of a Turkish zoological institution. - Title page of vol. 12 slightly finger-stained and with pencil remarks, partly slightly browned, otherwise well-preserved collection of this most detailed herpetological account, extremely rare on the market even in single volumes.
