Er war zeitweise der Leibarzt von Heinrich IV und ab 1604 am Hof von Landgraf Moritz von Hessen-Kassel. - Angebunden: Tetras Gravissimorum Totius Capitis Affectuum. Marburg, Paul Egenolff, 1606. 12 Bll. 488 S., 6 Bll. - Letzte Seite des angebundenen Teils ausgerissen. Ränder gebräunt, fleckig, zweites Titelblatt mit hs. Anmerkung. Ingesamt gut erhalten.

Vellum with spine label and coloured edges (stained, bumped, rubbed, spine partly cracked, clasps missing). - Rare. - With two library stamps. - Work by the French alchemist and physician Joseph Duchesne. He was at times the personal physician of Henry IV and from 1604 at the court of Landgrave Moritz of Hesse-Kassel. - Attached: Tetras Gravissimorum Totius Capitis Affectuum. Marburg, Paul Egenolff, 1606. 12 vols. 488 pp., 6 vols. - Last page of the bound part torn out. Margins browned, spotting, second title page with annotation in manuscript. Overall in good condition.
