Den Forste Grund af Arithmetica eller Regne Kunsten. Handschriftliches Manuskript eines dänisches Kadetten. Mit zahlr., tls. kolorierten gezeichneten Figuren, 2 Karten u. 1 Faltplan eines Schiffes (Barge für ein Kriegsschiff mit 60 Kanonen). (Kopenhagen, 1822). Ca. 163 Bll. Büttenpapier mit Wz. Fol. Kalbsldr. d. Zt. mit goldgeprägten Fileten, goldgeprägtem Namen "A:O: Holtermann" auf dem Vorder- und goldgepr. Jahr "1822" auf dem Rückdeckel (berieben, obere Gelenke etw. eingerissen).

Naturwissenschaften – Von einem Kadetten der Königlich Dänischen Marineakademie in den frühen 1820er Jahren angefertigtes Werk zur Arithmetik mit Abschnitten zur Algebra, Geometrie, Trigonometrie und Landvermessung mit zahlr. Beispielen. Dänische und norwegische Marinekadetten wurden in verschiedenen Naturwissenschaften unterrichtet und zu hervorragenden Zeichnern ausgebildet. - Tls. leicht fingerfleckig, im Text Tinte tls. verblasst, letzte 5 Bll. mit Einrissen, ca. 4 Bll. fehlend (augenscheinlich ohne Textverlust), wenige Bll. wasserrandig, sonst insg. wohlerhalten.

Natural Sciences – Mathematics - Handwritten manuscript by an Danish cadet with numerous, partially handcoloured drawn figures, 2 maps and 1 fold. plan of vessel (barge for a 60 cannons naval ship). Contemp. full calf with gilt stamped fillets, gilt stamped name "A:O: Holtermann" to front and year "1822" to back cover (rubbed, upper joints somewhat teared). - A work on arithmetic written by a cadet at the Royal Danish Naval Academy in the early 1820s, with sections on algebra, geometry, trigonometry and land surveying, with numerous examples. Danish and Norwegian naval cadets were educated in several natural sciences and were trained to be fine draughtsmen. - Partially slightly fingerstained, ink in the text partially faded, last 5 leaves teared, approx. 4 leaves missing (apparently without loss of text), a few leaves dampstained, otherwise overall well preserved.
