Moderne Literatur und Kunst – 3. Ausgabe des aufwendig hergestellten Architekturbandes. - Das Einbandpapier ist "Fusuma", das für Trennwände in japanischen Häusern verwendet wird. Das Papier der Vorsatzblätter ist "Torinoko", das aus der Präfektur Fukui im Norden Japans stammt. Das für den Text verwendete Papier ist "Shigarami-gami", das im Winter in sehr geringen Mengen hergestellt wird. Die Kokusai Bunka Shinkokai (Gesellschaft zur Förderung internationaler kultureller Beziehungen) hatte sich zum Ziel gesetzt, ausländische Studenten, die sich in Japan aufhielten, mit der japanischen Kultur vertraut zu machen, und organisierte vom 15. Oktober bis zum 6. Dezember 1935 eine Vortragsreihe. Bruno Taut, der 1933 nach Japan gekommen war, hielt dort am 30. Modern Literature and Art – Architecture. - 3rd edition of this elaborately produced architecture volume. - The cover paper is "Fusuma," which is used for partition walls in Japanese homes. The paper for the endpapers is "Torinoko," which comes from Fukui Prefecture in northern Japan. The paper used for the text is "Shigarami-gami," which is produced in very small quantities during the winter. The Kokusai Bunka Shinkokai (Society for the Promotion of International Cultural Relations) had set itself the goal of familiarizing foreign students residing in Japan with Japanese culture and organized a series of lectures from October 15 to December 6, 1935.
