Prospect des Königl. Preußischen Lustschloßes zu Oranienburg, wie selbiges sich gegen die Stadt zu präsentiret. Um 1770. Kupferstich auf Bütten, altkoloriert. 18,5 x 31 cm (23 x 31 cm). Oben die lateinische Bauinschrift des Hauptgesimses mit deutscher Überschrift, unten betitelt. Unter Passepartout montiert und hinter Glas gerahmt.

Dekorative Graphik - Ansichten – Die Ansicht zeigt die Stadtseite des von Luise Henriette von Oranien errichteten und unter Kurfürst Friedrich III. ab 1690 erweiterten Schlosses, belebt mit reicher Staffage. Rechts ist die Havel bezeichnet. Das Gegenstück zeigt das Schloss von der Gartenseite. - Seitlich und oben bis an die Plattenkante beschnitten, unten mit schmalem Rand. Papier altersbedingt gleichmäßig gebräunt, zum Rand hin stärker, vereinzelte Stockflecken sowie wenige kleinere punktuelle Flecken. Insgesamt sehr gut. Ausgezeichneter, gratiger und detailreicher Druck mit zartem Kolorit.
Prints and Engravings - Views – Copper engraving with contemporary hand colouring on laid paper. With the Latin building inscription from the main cornice and a German heading above, titled below. Mounted in a passe-partout and framed under glass. - The view shows the town façade of the palace built by Louise Henriette of Orange and enlarged from 1690 under Elector Frederick III, enlivened with numerous staffage figures. The Havel is labelled at right. The companion print shows the palace from the garden side.
