Je kolorierter Kupferstich auf (Ruse & Turners 1817)-Velin (m. Wz.). Blattgröße bis 23,1 x 35 cm. Je mit dem gestochenen Titel im Unterrand sowie mit gestochener Schrift mit Künstler-, Stecher- und Verlagangaben.

Ecke, Berlin. - Ansicht der idyllischen Pfaueninsel an der Havel in romantischer, nahezu paradiesischer Stimmung des Eilands, das als königliches Refugium für Friedrich Wilhelm II. und später Friedrich Wilhelm III. diente. - Vedutenansicht von Berlins angeblich schönstem Platz, dem Gendarmenmarkt mit dem alten Schauspielhaus und den zwei markant aufstrebenden Türmen des Deutschen und Französischen Doms im Stile des Barock. - Leicht bis stark gebräunt, mit leichten Flecken und kleinen, blassen Braunflecken, tls. leichte Knickspur, Griffspur oder minimaler Papierverlust in einer Ecke. Insgesamt gut. Durchweg Hervorragende Drucke mit kontrastvollem Kolorit in breiter Farbpalette, je mit Rand.
Prints and Engravings - Views – 2 works. Each coloured copperplate etching on (Ruse & Turners 1817) wove paper (with watermark). Each with incised title in lower margin as well as with incised artist, printer and publisher indications. - After drawings by Frédéric Fregevize or rather Friedrich August Calau (1769 Leipzig-1828 Berlin). - Publ. by Verlag von Bapt. Weiss, Moren u. Friedrichstr. Ecke, Berlin. - A view of the idyllic Pfaueninsel on Havel, capturing the romantic, almost paradisiacal atmosphere of the islet which served as a royal retreat for Frederick William II and, later, Frederick William III. - A veduta view of what is said to be Berlin's most beautiful square, the Gendarmenmarkt, featuring the Old Theatre and the two strikingly soaring towers of the German and French Cathedrals, built in the Baroque style. - Slightly to strongly browned, with slight stains and small, faint-brown stains, partly slight crease mark, handling trace or minimal loss if paper in one corner. All in all good. Throughout excellent impressions with contrast-rich colouring, each with margin.
