Dekorative Graphik - Karten – Aus: Antonio Zatta, Atlante novissimo, Bd. IV, Venedig 1779-1785. - Mit dem Atlante novissimo legte Antonio Zatta eines der letzten großen dekorativen Atlaswerke des 18. Jahrhunderts vor. In vier Bänden umfasst es über 200 Karten. Sie stützen sich überwiegend auf französische Vorlagen und zeichnen sich durch ihre klare, elegante venezianische Stichkunst aus. Das vorliegende Blatt zeigt die Küste Niederguineas vom Golf von Guinea bis nach Benguela, mit den Königreichen Dahomey, Benin, Loango, Kongo und Angola sowie den portugiesischen Inseln im Golf. - Horizontale Mittelfalz. Papier altersbedingt leicht gebräunt und etwas wellig, verso Reste früherer Montierung entlang des Plattenrands sowie an der Mittelfalz, grüner Farbdurchschlag des Kolorits im Bereich der Kartusche, vereinzelt stockfleckig. Ausgezeichneter, gratiger Druck, die Farbe frisch.

Prints and Engravings - Maps – Horizontal centre fold. Paper slightly age-toned and somewhat undulating. Remnants of a former mount verso along the platemark and at the centre fold, green show-through of the colouring in the area of the cartouche, some foxing. An excellent, crisp impression, the colour fresh.
