Online - Moderne und zeitgenössische Kunst – Vgl. Wietek 108 und Jentsch H 77 III. - Die vorliegenden Arbeiten stammen aus bedeutenden editorischen Kontexten des deutschen Expressionismus. Die Grafik von Georg Tappert erschien postum im Jahr 1963 in den renommierten Kunstblättern der Galerie Nierendorf (Berlin, Heft Nr. 1) in einer Auflage von 2.000 Exemplaren. Der Abzug wurde direkt vom originalen Druckstock des Künstlers aus dessen Nachlass gefertigt. Richard Seewalds Arbeit hingegen wurde bereits 1919 in der wegweisenden Kunstzeitschrift "Genius. Zeitschrift für werdende und alte Kunst" (Jahrgang 1, Erstes Buch) im Kurt Wolff Verlag ediert. Es handelt sich um eine originale Künstlergrafik, die im aufwändigen Pochoir-Verfahren mittels Schablone handkoloriert wurde, um die farbliche Tiefenwirkung direkt für die Buchausgabe zu veredeln, verso mit dem charakteristischen typografischen Rückentext. Beide Blätter dokumentieren eindrucksvoll die druckgrafische Innovationskraft der Berliner Avantgarde der späten 1910er Jahre.

The print by Georg Tappert was published posthumously in 1963 in the renowned "Kunstblätter der Galerie Nierendorf" (Berlin, issue no. 1) in an edition of 2,000 copies. The impression was pulled directly from the artist's original printing block from his estate. In contrast, Richard Seewald's work was published as early as 1919 in the pioneering art journal "Genius. Zeitschrift für werdende und alte Kunst" (Year 1, First Book) by Kurt Wolff Verlag. It is an original artist's print, hand-colored using the elaborate pochoir (stencil) process to enhance the depth of color directly for the book edition, with the characteristic typographic text on the reverse. Both sheets impressively document the printmaking innovation of the Berlin avant-garde of the late 1910s.
