o.T. 1958. Gouache auf Bütten. 38 x 52,5 cm (47,5 x 60 cm). Signiert und datiert. - Ränder mit ganz dezenten Einrissen, in den oberen Ecken mit minimalen Löchern, sowie verso mit Spuren ehemaliger Montierung, atelierspurig und gebräunt. Insgesamt gut, die Farben frisch.

Online - Moderne und zeitgenössische Kunst – Hubert Berke studiert Anfang der 1930er Jahre an der Kunstakademie Düsseldorf bei Paul Klee. Der Einfluss Klees wird in seinen Arbeiten unterschiedlichster Techniken in den geometrischen Formen, den klaren Linien und kräftigen Farben besonders deutlich.

Signed and dated. - Edges with very slight tears, minimal holes in the upper corners, and traces of former mounting on the verso, signs of studio use and yellowing. Overall in good condition, the colours are fresh. - Hubert Berke studied under Paul Klee at the Düsseldorf Art Academy in the early 1930s. Klee's influence is particularly evident in his works, which employ a wide variety of techniques, in the geometric forms, clear lines and bold colours.
