Durch die partielle Transparenz des Acrylglases scheinen die Lumières von innen zu leuchten, da das von der Wand reflektierte Licht durch sie hindurchscheint - eine Präsenz, die an Abwesenheit grenzt, wie eine im Gedächtnis schwebende Erinnerung.

The ghostly-looking image, taken from the internet, refers to a diffuse perception of reality that oscillates between photography and painting. Due to the partial transparency of the acrylic glass, the Lumières appear to glow from within, as the light reflected from the wall shines through them - a presence bordering on absence, like a memory floating in the mind.
