Lot 324 Jean-Marc Bustamante. Lumière. 2003. …

Lumière. 2003. Farbserigraphie auf Plexiglas. 60 x 60 cm. Mit beiligendem Originalzertifikat, hier signiert und nummeriert. Mit beiliegenden Metallspangen zur Befestigung. - Insgesamt sehr gut.

- Hg. Edition Schellmann, München/New York, anlässlich der 50. Venedig Biennale 2003.

Contemporary Art – Comes with metal clips for fastening. - Overall, very good. A magnificent, richly coloured print of the full-page composition, the colours are vibrant and fresh. - Overall in very good condition. - One of 50 copies. - Published by Edition Schellmann, Munich/New York for the 50th Venice Biennale in 2003. - This edition is a fragment of a large-format painting of the same title, which Jean-Marc Bustamante created as France's contribution to the 2003 Venice Biennale in the Pavillon des Amazones. The ghostly-looking image, taken from the internet, refers to a diffuse perception of reality that oscillates between photography and painting. Due to the partial transparency of the acrylic glass, the Lumières appear to glow from within, as the light reflected from the wall shines through them - a presence bordering on absence, like a memory floating in the mind.
