Je im Schattenfugenrahmen. - Ränder teils bestoßen sowie partieller Velinabrieb. Zeitgenössische Kunst – Bernd Schwarzer gehört zu den einen der prägensten Vertretern der zeitgenössischen deutschen Malerei. Seit den 1980er-Jahren setzt er sich in seinem Werk intensiv mit Themen wie Identität, Geschichte und politischer Symbolik auseinander. Einen wichtigen Schwerpunkt seines Ouvres bilden seine sogenannten "Europabilder", in denen er Europa als kulturellen und politischen Erfahrungs- und Bedeutungsraum untersucht.

Each framed in a shadow gap frame. - Edges partly bumped and with occasional abrasion to the wove paper. Verso, some with mounting holes in the wooden backing board. One work with minor brown spots. Superb works executed in intense shades of blue. - Bernd Schwarzer is among the most influential representatives of contemporary German painting. Since the 1980s, his work has been characterised by an intensive engagement with themes of identity, history, and political symbolism. A significant focus within his oeuvre is formed by his so-called "Europa Paintings", in which he explores Europe as a cultural and political space of experience and meaning.
