Zeitgenössische Kunst – Eines von 10 unikatären Exemplaren. - In der vorliegenden Komposition von Martin Bauer und Maj Mlakar (vorm. Mmachine) aus der Dots-Serie zeigt als Grundelement den einzelnen Punkt, der in einem dichten Raster aus Acrylfarbe auf Papier aufgetragen wird und mit Tausenden von Einzelsetzungen einen Farbverlauf von sattem Marineblau ins nahezu Weiße erzeugt und damit Assoziationen Effekt an Ellsworth Kelly als auch die systematische Bildlogik der Konkreten Kunst weckt. Zur Erschaffung der Werke dient ein umgebauter Industrielasercutter, einer der größten Europas, der ursprünglich die Segel für Großsegler wie die "Alexander von Humboldt" schnitt. Das Malerische entsteht dort, wo die Kontrolle endet: in den minimalen Unregelmäßigkeiten der Zeichenwerkzeuge, den feinen Abweichungen, die die maschinelle Perfektion brechen und jedem Punkt seine individuelle Qualität verleihen.
