Lot 141 Andreas Wachter. Mittags Atelier. 2013/16. Öl …

Mittags Atelier. 2013/16. Öl auf Hartfaser. 56 x 35 cm. Monogrammiert und datiert. Verso signiert, betitelt und datiert. Im Künstlerrahmen. - Partiell mit minimaler Oberflächenbereibung. Insgesamt sehr gut.

East German Art – Oil on hardboard. Monogrammed and dated. Verso signed, titled and dated. Framed by artist. - Some minor surface abrasion. Overall in very good condition. A splendid, atmospheric work. - In the dreamlike, softly lit atmosphere of the studio space, reality and imagination merge: a shop mannequin and a bronze bust enter into an intimate dialogue, while in the background a female nude model looks out from a tall mirror. A small red colour reflex at the upper edge of the composition draws the eye to the incoming beam of light. - Figure, space and landscape form central motifs in his work, in which personal memories, fleeting impressions and studio experiences are pictorially condensed. - Andreas Wachter, born in Chemnitz in 1951, studied at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig from 1974 to 1980, where he received formative impulses from Arno Rink and Volker Stelzmann.
