The song of songs, which is Salomon's (Das Hohe Lied). Mit 10 (1 sign.) farbigen Original Lithographien von P. Wunderlich. Hannover, Caslon, 1970. Lose Lagen in blauer Orig.-Seidenkassette. Gr.-Folio (66,5 x 52,5 cm).

Deutsche Nachkriegsmoderne – Eins von 310 nummerierten Exemplaren der engl. Ausgabe (GA 480), vom Künstler im Druckvermerk signiert. Gedruckt in Frankreich bei E. und J. Desjobert. Lose Lagen in blauer Orig.-Seidenkassette. Gr.-Folio (66,5 x 52,5 cm).- Papiergesänge 113 - Für Paul Wunderlich wurde das Canticum canticorum "... zum Vehikel für eine der faszinierendsten Bildfolgen ...Wie keinem seiner Vorgänger gelang es Wunderlich, das Assoziative der Psalmen in seine surreale Bilderschrift und damit in unsere Gegenwart umzusetzen ... Wunderlich macht aus der Metapher eine graphische Kollage, die das dichterische Wortgefüge zu einer Bildergeschichte auffächert . .. " (H. T. Flemming in: Brusberg, Nachtr. z. WV, S. 220). "Die Lithographien stellen keine Illustration des 'Hohenliedes' dar, sie interpretieren vielmehr den Text weiter, indem sie dessen erotische Elemente in eine kühle Atmosphäre umsetzen" (Papiergesänge).
