Architektur – Seltenes Prachtwerk mit Ansichten und Wandbildern aus Pompeji. - Derzeit kein vollständiges Exemplar der Gesamtedition im internationalen Handel nachweisbar. - Posthume Edition mit der Edierung des letzten Heftes von Ernest Vinet des von 1844-1853 in Lieferungen erschienen Werkes. - Raoul Rochette (1789-1854) war ein französischer Klassischer Archäologe. Als Archäologe und Spezialist für Keramik, Epigraphik und Numismatik war er der führende Altertumswissenschaftler im Frankreich seiner Epoche. Von 1818 bis 1848 war er Konservator an der Pariser Bibliothèque royale und Vorreiter der vergleichenden Archäologie und Kunstgeschichte. As an archaeologist and specialist in ceramics, epigraphy and numismatics, he was the leading antiquity scholar in France of his era. From 1818 to 1848 he was curator at the Bibliothèque royale in Paris and pioneer of comparative archaeology and art history.
