Autographen – Einzigartige Sammlung von Autographen und Aquarellen des bedeutenden deutschen Zoologen, Philosophen, Zeichners sowie Hochschullehrer in Jena, Ernst Haeckel (1834-1919), sowie Briefe an ihn. - Die Sammlung gibt beredtes Zeugnis über Ernst Haeckels Privatleben, und ermöglicht darüber hinaus einen ergänzenden, der Forschung bislang weitgehend unbekannten Einblick in seine Seele, sein privates, meist selbstbezogenes Denken und Handeln. - Enthält: I. 79 Autographen von Ernst Haeckel. - I.1. 47 Briefe und 3 Billets bzw. Postkarten an Tochter Elisabeth Haeckel (1871-1946) und/oder Schwiegersohn Hans Meyer (1858-1929), wichtiger Afrikaforscher u. Verleger (Bibliographisches Institut). - I.2. 22 Briefe und 4 Billets bzw. Postkarten an Lieblingsenkelin "Actissa", d.i. Sardes (Tutücken-Zelte vor Bergkulisse bei Sardes, Anatolien). 1887. Bleistift, Feder in Tusche und Aquarell auf starkem Papier. 34,4 x 23,3 cm. Punktuell montiert auf dünnem Trägerkarton. Links unen signiert, bezeichnet und datiert (punktuell gering braunfleckig). - III.3. Lobdeburg bei Jena. 1868. Aquarelle auf starkem Papier. 48,5 x 32 cm. (Ehemals) punktuell montiert auf dickem Trägerkarton. Mittig links mit Tinte signiert, bezeichnet und datiert (punktuell minimal brauchfleckig, Trägerkarton liegt bei).

Autographs – Unique collection of autographs and watercolors by the important German zoologist, philosopher, draftsman, and university professor in Jena, Ernst Haeckel (1834-1919), as well as letters to him. - The collection provides eloquent testimony to Ernst Haeckel's private life and, moreover, offers a supplementary insight into his soul, his private, mostly self-referential thoughts and actions, largely unknown to researchers until now.
