Erstmals in Paris im Jahr 1894 veröffentlicht, gehören die erotischen, lesbischen Gedichte zur Gattung der "Pseudoübersetzung" und sollen laut Louys im Grab der Bilitis, einer angeblichen Zeitgenossin und Vertrauten der Dichterin Sappho, gefunden worden sein. - Im Schnitt leicht stockfleckig. Insgesamt sehr sauberes und gut erhaltenes Exemplar.
