4 Arbeiten. Abstrakte Kompositionen. 1960er Jahre. Je Gouache auf Velin (1 x E.G. Volkersz mit WZ). Bildmaß bis 85,5 x 64 cm. Je signiert. - Papier teilweise an den Rändern gebräunt. Ein Blatt mir kleinen Löchern, sowie ein Blatt mit punktuellen Farbabplatzungen, Ecken und Ränder teilweise leicht bestoßen und mit dezenten Rissen, verso leicht atelierspurig und ein Blatt mit Klebeetikett. Insgesamt gut, die Farben leuchtend.

Moderne Literatur und Kunst – Ton Pape absolvierte seine Ausbildung an der Königlichen Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Den Haag und im Atelier Hugo Landheer. Die hier gezeigten Arbeiten sind Teil eines vielfältigen Oeuvres, das unter anderem zahlreiche Entwürfe für Stoffen, Teppiche und Tapeten umfasst. Ein Teil seiner Werke befindet sich im Besitz des Museums Rijswijk in den Niederlanden.

Modern Literature and Art – 4 works. Each gouache on laid paper (1 x E.G. Volkersz with watermark). Each signed. - Paper partially browned at the edges. One sheet has small holes, and another has isolated areas of paint flaking, corners and edges are partially slightly bumped and show subtle tears, the reverse side shows slight traces of studio use, and one sheet has an adhesive label. Overall in good condition, the colours are vibrant. - Ton Pape trained at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague and in the studio of Hugo Landheer. The works shown here form part of a diverse body of work that includes, amongst other things, numerous designs for fabrics, carpets and wallpapers. A selection of his works is held by the Rijswijk Museum in the Netherlands.
