Abstrakte Komposition. Anfang 20. Jahrhundert. Gouache auf Velin. 34,5 x 50 cm. Signiert. - Leichte Einrisse an den Rändern, zwei minimale Löcher im Papier, Farbe mit Verbleichungen und dezenten Bereibungen, verso mit Spuren ehemaliger Montierung und Anmerkungen in Blei. Insgesamt gut, die Farben leuchtend.

Moderne Literatur und Kunst – Unsere Zeichnung zeigt eine abstrakte Komposition, möglicherweise einen Entwurf für eine Theaterkulisse des französischen Künstlers Louis Gaudin. Gaudin lebte in den Vereinigten Staaten und fertigte am Broadway unter anderem Kostümentwürfe.

Modern Literature and Art – Gouache on vellum. Signed. - Slight tears at the edges, two tiny holes in the paper, paint showing signs of fading and slight smudging, on the reverse, traces of former mounting and notes in pencil. Overall in good condition, with vibrant colours. - Our drawing depicts an abstract composition, possibly a sketch for a theatre set by the French artist Louis Gaudin. Gaudin lived in the United States and worked on Broadway, creating costume designs, amongst other things.
