(Tit., Index, Vorw., Konkordanz), 464 S., Ss. 1-8, IX-LXXXVIII S., 1 Bl. (w.) 2°. Schweinsldr. d. Zt. im Stil d. Renaissance auf sechs erhabenen Bünden über Holzdecken mit hs. RTit. im zweiten von sieben mittels blindgepr. Fileten gegliederten Fächern, die Deckel blindgepr. mit mehreren, durch je drei Fileten gezogene Rahmen, diese ausgefüllt mittels Rollenstempel mit Ranken-, Blatt- und Blütenwerk, sowie zwei Messingschließen (eine der Schließen nur fragmentarisch vorhanden, frühere Messingbeschläge fehlen (die Nagelung vorhanden), fleckig und beschabt).

Theologie und Religionswissenschaften – Bemerkenswert geschmücktes und repräsentativ gebundenes französisches Antiphonar. - Die Noten in schwarzer Quadratnotation auf roten Linien, ebenso der Text durchgehend in Rot und Schwarz. - Fehlt das vordere Vorsatzblatt. Titelblatt mit hs. Besitzervermerk d. 17. Jh., die Titelillustration berieben, in den weißen Rändern leicht stockfleckig, rechts unten kleines Loch. Einige Bl. wasserfleckig, die letzten 4 stärker, durchgehend leicht gebräunt. Insgesamt gut erhaltener Notendruck auf voluminösem Bütten. - Im Handel selten, dieses Antiphonar für uns auf Auktionen in nur zwei weiteren Exemplaren nachweisbar (1996, 1971 bzw. 1964).

Theology and Religious Studies – A remarkably decorated and representatively bound French folio antiphonary, richly illustrated with a large engraved title illustration by L. Gaultier, dated 1616, as well as numerous mostly inhabited and rubricated initials. - Bound in a massive contemporary blindstamped pigskin biding. - The music is in black square notation on red lines, as is the text throughout in red and black. - The front endpaper is missing. Title page with a handwritten owner's inscription from the 17th century, the title illustration is rubbed, with slight foxing in the white margins, and a small hole in the lower right corner. Some leaves are water-stained, the last four more so, and the whole is slightly browned. Overall, the printed music on voluminous laid paper is in good condition. - Rare on the market. We could only trace two other copies at auction (1996, 1971 and 1964 respectively).
