Alte Drucke, Bibeln, Klassische Autoren in den Originalsprachen – VD16 B 49. - Frühe Abhandlung und einziges landeskundliches Werk des v.a. für seine theologischen Streitschriften zum Abendmahl bekannten protestantischen Theologen Zacharias Rivander (1553-1594). Seinen Plan der Thüringischen eine Chronik der Nieder- und Oberlausitz folgen zu lassen, konnte Rivander nicht mehr ausführen. Er starb bereits im Alter von 41 Jahren, mutmaßlich aufgrund seiner polemischen theologischen Schriften von Feinden vergiftet. - Wasserrand nach der Vorrede im Falz, sonst insg. gut erhalten.

Prints before 1600, Bibles, Classics in Original Languages – Thuringia - Later cardboard from the early 20th century with speckled red edges and gilt stamped label to spine (somewhat rubbed and dusty, back cover stained, lower side edge ink stained). - Early treatise and only work on regional studies by the Protestant theologian Zacharias Rivander (1553-1594), who is best known for his theological polemics on the Eucharist. Rivander was unable to carry out his plan to follow his Thuringian chronicle with a chronicle of Lower and Upper Lusatia. He died at the age of 41, presumably poisoned by enemies because of his polemical theological writings. - Water stain after the preface in the fold, otherwise overall good condition.
