Modern Literature and Art – A superb catalogue with vibrant modernist wallpaper patterns. - A likely unique pattern book documenting the 1928-29 collection of the Aarau-based manufacturer, founded in 1888 and still in business today, which advertises in its subtitle "Artist patterns with a calm, harmonious effect for modern rooms, as well as for housing estates and developments." - The wallpaper prints, featuring fairly intense stenciled colours, are all in excellent condition. The designs, composed of dots, lines, and other geometric forms, appear strikingly modernist in their minimalist forms and bold colours. - Minimal foxing, otherwise a well-preserved copy of this rare catalog.
