Leicht stockfleckig. Insgesamt sehr gut erhaltenes und unbeschnittenes Exemplar mit den schönen Kupfern von Merian.

With 3 engraved frontispieces, 31 engraved plates with portraits and 329 copperplate illustrations in the first volume, as well as a total of 111 copperplates, some of which are folded multiple times. copperplate illustrations by M. Merian in volumes 2 and 3. Later half leather binding (leather binding heavily scuffed, rubbed and bumped). - The beautiful and decorative copperplate illustrations in the rare volume 2 mostly depict battles and sieges with corresponding views of Frankfurt (2), Heidelberg, Höchst, Magdeburg, Munich, Münster, Nuremberg (fireworks), Oppenheim, Regensburg, Wimpfen, and many more. - Pages partly slightly browned. Slight foxing. Overall, a very well-preserved and uncut copy with beautiful copperplate engravings by Merian.
