Im ersten Teil wird in philosophischen Dialogen der Traum' einer Insel entwickelt, auf der ein Leben in froher, frommer, freier Einfalt' und christlicher Gemeinschaft die Erziehung eines neuen Menschengeschlechts möglich sei. Der zweite Teil bietet Proben der edlen und einfältigen Insel Poesie', die den Einfluss Klopstocks und des Göttinger Hainbundes deutlich widerspiegeln. - Minimal stockfleckig. Tls. leicht wasserfleckig. Insgesamt sehr gut erhalten.

In the first part, philosophical dialogues develop the 'dream' of an island where a life of 'happy, pious, free simplicity' and Christian community would make it possible to educate a new human race. The second part offers samples of the noble and simple 'island poetry', which clearly reflect the influence of Klopstock and the Göttingen Hainbund. - Minimal foxing. Some slight water stains. Overall in very good condition.
