Medschnun und Leila. Ein persischer Liebesroman von Dschami. 2 Bde. Amsterdam, Kunst- und Industriecomptoir, 1808. 208 S., 191 S. Kl.-8°. HLdr. d. Zt. mit je zwei RSchildchen u. goldgepr. RTitel, Lederecken u. Marmordeckeln (etw. beschabt, berieben u. bestoßen).

Hier in der Übersetzung aus dem Französischen von Anton Theodor Hartmann. - Dschami gilt als Hauptvertreter der sufischen Mystik. Die Geschichte des liebenden Paares gestaltete er gleichsam zu einem Gleichnis über die Liebe zu Gott aus. - Die Vorsätze u. wenige weitere Bll. etw. stockfleckig, ansonsten äußerst wohlerhaltene u. saubere Exemplare.
