Loose leaves together with canvas with gilt-stamped title in cloth slipcase with mounted illustration (rubbed and bumped, slightly stained, commentary pocket inside loose). - One of 980 Arabic-numbered copies. - Faithful facsimile of the Cassinese Exultet Scroll. Commissioned by Abbot Desiderius (1058-1087), the scroll is one of the most beautifully illuminated manuscripts of the Romanesque period. - Overall in good condition.
