Gemälde, Zeichnungen u. Grafiken 16. bis 19. Jhd. – Mit feinem Gespür für Stimmung und Licht erfasst Walter Pesch die weite niederrheinische Landschaft an einem Sommerabend. Der sanft geschwungene Feldweg, die lockere Baumstaffage und die roten Mohnblumen im Vordergrund fügen sich zu einer ruhigen, atmosphärisch dichten Szenerie zusammen. Die zart abgestufte Farbgebung verleiht dem Blatt seinen besonderen Reiz und einen poetischen Charakter. - Unterkarton rechts und unten jeweils mit kleinen Einriss. Ecken leicht bestoßen. Sehr gut. Schöne Ausführung mit zarter Farbgebung.

Signed, dated and titled on the backing board. - With a keen sense of atmosphere and light, Walter Pesch captures the vast Lower Rhine landscape on a summer's evening. The gently curving dirt track, the loosely arranged trees and the red poppies in the foreground combine to form a tranquil, atmospherically rich scene. The delicately nuanced colouring lends the print its special charm and a poetic character. - The backing board has small tears on the right and at the bottom. Corners slightly bumped. A very fine piece, with delicate colouring.
