Landschaften - Deutschland

Gemälde, Zeichnungen u. Grafiken 16. bis 19. Jhd.

Paintings, drawings and prints 16th to 19th century – Oil on card. Signed, verso monogrammed, dated and dedicated. Framed. - Isolated tiny colour chip, very isolated craquelure, yellowed, varnished, isolated retouches visible under UV-light, verso with abrasions in spots, isolated faint brown stains. All in all good. - Gustav Dunzinger finds access to the artistic genres of drawing and painting through botany. His motifs are primarily landscapes from his immediate surroundings, which are inspired by southern Germany. Our view may be a landscape near Munich, as suggested by the alpine mountain range in the background. The broad color palette, impasto brushwork, and atmospheric lighting place the artist in the circle of German Impressionism.
