Gefangennahme. Ca. 1840-50. Bleistift auf Velin. 17,5 x 26,5 cm. Signiert, sowie auf Unterlage betitelt. Auf Unterlage montiert und hinter Glas gerahmt. - Papier leicht braunfleckig und dezent gegilbt. Insgesamt sehr gut. Detailreiche, feinmalerische Arbeit.
Genre
Gemälde, Zeichnungen u. Grafiken 16. bis 19. Jhd. – Gefangennahme eines Mannes durch bewaffnete Römer in einer gebirgigen Landschaft. Nach seinem Studium bei Ferdinand Hartmann an der Kunstakademie Dresden begab sich Lindau für ein Stipendium nach Rom und wurde dort Mitglied der Ponte Molle-Gesellschaft.
Paintings, drawings and prints 16th to 19th century – Pencil on vellum. Signed and titled on the backing. Mounted on backing and framed under glass. - The paper has slight brown spots and is slightly yellowed. Overall very good. A detailed, finely executed work. - Depicts the capture of a man by armed Romans in a mountainous landscape. After studying under Ferdinand Hartmann at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts, Lindau went to Rome on a scholarship and became a member of the Ponte Molle Society there.
