Gemälde, Zeichnungen u. Grafiken 16. bis 19. Jhd. – Fein komponierte Landschaftsdarstellung mit staffageartiger Belebung durch Figuren, Vieh und einen Planwagen im Vordergrund. Die Szene entfaltet sich über eine ruhige Wegführung hin zu einer Wasserstelle und in die weite, leicht dunstige Ferne. Charakteristisch ist die rahmende Baumgruppe mit dem dominanten Einzelbaum, der die Komposition gliedert und zugleich eine malerische Tiefenwirkung erzeugt. Die weich abgestimmte Farbigkeit sowie die ausgewogene Lichtführung verleihen der Darstellung einen harmonischen, idyllischen Charakter.

The scene unfolds along a tranquil path leading to a watering hole and into the vast, slightly misty distance. A characteristic feature is the framing group of trees with the dominant solitary tree, which structures the composition whilst simultaneously creating a picturesque sense of depth. The softly harmonised colour scheme and the balanced lighting lend the scene a harmonious, idyllic character.
