Blumenstillleben mit Lilien, Rosen, Dahlien, Fingerhut und Trauben. 1839. Öl auf Leinwand. 57,5 x 45,5 cm. Signiert und datiert. - Craqueliert, gefirnist und gegilbt, sowie an den Rändern mit leichten Farbabplatzungen und dezenten Befleckungen, vereinzelt minimale Retuschen unter UV-Licht erkennbar. Insgesamt gut, Farben frisch.

Blumenmalerei

Gemälde, Zeichnungen u. Grafiken 16. bis 19. Jhd. – Bei unserem Werk handelt es sich um ein feinmalerisches, detailgetreues und naturalistisches Biedermeier-Stillleben mit Früchten, üppig arrangiert, vor einer weitläufigen Landschaft im Hintergrund. Blumenmaler von Stoll war von 1830 bis 1834 in St. Petersburg am Botanischen Garten angestellt, wo er sich der Ausarbeitung von Blumenkompositionen widmete. Einige der Stillleben von Stolls befinden sich in der Sammlung der Eremitage in St. Petersburg.

Paintings, drawings and prints 16th to 19th century – Oil on canvas. Signed and dated. - Crackled, varnished and yellowed, with slight paint flaking and subtle staining around the edges, occasional minimal retouching visible under UV light. Overall good condition, colours fresh. - Our work is a finely painted, detailed and naturalistic Biedermeier still life with fruits, richly arranged, in front of a sweeping landscape in the background. Flower painter von Stoll was employed at the Botanical Garden in St. Petersburg from 1830 to 1834, where he devoted himself to the creation of floral compositions. Some of Stoll's still lifes are in the collection of the Hermitage in St. Petersburg.
