Je altersbedingt leicht gebräunt, partiell mit punktuellen Fleckchen, je Ränder teils leicht bestoßen und knickspurig. Ein Blatt verso mit partiellem Farbdurchschlag. Insgesamt gut.

Die Ansichten lassen sich stilistisch und motivisch in den Kontext der zeittypischen "picturesque"-Auffassung einordnen und dokumentieren die Eindrücke britischer Reisender im frühen 19. Jahrhundert.

Prints and Engravings - Views – 4 works. Each in pen and ink, watercolour or pencil on handmade paper. Each has slight discolouration due to age, with occasional small spots in places, the edges of each are partly slightly bumped and show crease marks. One sheet has partial ink bleed on the reverse. Overall in good condition. - Contains: Watercolour with pen and ink drawing "Village from Whittlesea" - Pencil drawing "Vale of Ffestiniog with part of Cardigan & the mountains of Caernarvon" - Pencil drawing "Pont Aberglaslyn, North Wales" - Watercolour "Sowdonia (Eryri)". - Four landscape studies, created in the context of British travel around 1800. Stylistically and thematically, the views can be placed within the context of the 'picturesque' conception typical of the period and document the impressions of British travellers in the early 19th century.
