Gemälde, Zeichnungen u. Grafiken 16. bis 19. Jhd. – Vermutlich Abzüge aus der 1842 erschienenen Ausgabe "Radirungen. 178 Platten. Von Ferdinand Kobell." - Abzüge nach älteren Platten. - Vgl.

Paintings, drawings and prints 16th to 19th century – Collection of 4 works. Each etching on wove paper. Mounted at the top edge beneath a passe-partout. - Probably prints from the 1842 edition 'Etchings. 178 plates. By Ferdinand Kobell.' Prints from older plates. - Cf. Stengel, Catalogue Raisonné, 1822. - Four finely executed landscape etchings by Ferdinand Kobell, whose graphic work ranks among the most charming German landscape series of the late 18th century. The prints display his characteristic combination of rocky areas, dense tree cover, small figurative elements and calmly rendered landscapes. Their particular charm lies precisely in the delicate, lively treatment of the vegetation and terrain. - Added: as mentioned above.
