- Titelblatt durchgehend leicht gebräunt, sonst sehr gut erhalten.
Varia and Miscellaneous – First edition of John Cage's famous experimental score as a physical object. - Composed between 1957 and 1958, this abstract work, free from traditional listening patterns and repetitions, is unique in Cage's oeuvre in that it is connected not only with the composer himself but also with David Tudor's crucial role in the realization and performance of the part of the concerto intended for the solo pianist, which Cage also referred to as "Solo for Piano." It comprises 84 graphics on 63 pages, with some graphics spanning two or three pages. The resulting stack of pages is also a complex physical object, comparable to a thick deck of cards. - The title page bears a printed dedication to Elaine de Kooning. - Title page very slightly browned throughout, otherwise in very good condition.
