Dekorative Graphik - Ansichten – Das vorliegende Aquarell zeigt eine repräsentative Ansicht des Kurhaus' von Gries bei Bozen und diente als unmittelbare Vorlage für eine um 1900 verbreitete Ansichtskarte. Im Stile einer dekorativ-gewerblichen Vedutenmalerei ist die Ansicht zweigeteilt und gibt die Architektur des klassizistischen Gebäudes mit großer Präzision wieder. In Verbindung mit der dargestellten südlichen Vegetation der Gartenanlage entsteht eine atmosphärisch dichte, farbintensive Komposition, die die Vorzüge des Kurortes klar zum Ausdruck bringt und mit dem verso aufgebrachten Stempel der Produktionsstätte die wachsende Nachfrage des neu aufkommenden Tourismus nach industriell gefertigten Ansichtskarten und Druckerzeugnissen dokumentiert. - Papier altersbedingt leicht gebräunt, verso mit vereinzelten Bräunungen sowie Resten früherer Montierung. Insgesamt sehr gut.

Paper slightly browned due to age, with isolated brown spots and remnants of mounting on the reverse. Overall in very good condition. . This watercolour painting shows a representative view of the Kurhaus spa resort in Gries near Bolzano and served as the direct template for a postcard that was widely distributed around 1900. In the style of decorative commercial veduta painting, the architecture of the classicist building is reproduced with great precision. Combined with the southern vegetation of the gardens, this creates an atmospherically dense, colourful composition that clearly expresses the advantages of the spa resort. The stamp of the production facility on the reverse side documents the growing demand of the newly emerging tourism industry for industrially manufactured postcards and printed products.
