Hamburg
Orts- und Landeskunde mit verschiedenen Schlagworten – Erste und einzige Ausgabe, mit Darstellungen von Blankenese, Eimsbüttel, Hamm und Harvestehude. - Holzmann-Bohatta VII, 3281. - Rump, S. 78.
Local and Regional Studies – First and only edition, with depictions of Blankenese, Eimsbüttel, Hamm, and Harvestehude, skilfully executed in 5, of which 4 folding, copper engraved and additionally etched plates. - For references see above. - Very rare, we have only been able to trace two other copies at auction in the last 30 years. - The plates (unsigned, by Gottfried Arnold Lehmann) show the country houses of Peter Godefroy in Dockenhusen, Privy Councilor Faber between Rabe and Harvestehude, and a certain Gräpel in Hamm, as well as an unnamed country house in the Eimsbüttel woods. The fifth plate shows the tomb in the Hamm cemetery, created by the sculptor Wendelin Ohnmacht for the wife of the merchant Engelbach. - Slightly dusty, with browning and minimally foxy at the beginning and towards the end, otherwise a well-preserved, wide-margined copy of this rarity.
