Jahrhundert, zusammengestellt vom Reference Department der Library of Congress. Die Einträge betreffen hauptsächlich Werke auf Russisch, aber auch in anderen Sprachen, unter anderem aus den Bereichen Geographie, Expedition und Forschungsreisen, Wirtschafts-, Geschichts-, Physische, Politische und Militärgeographie sowie Kartographie (mit einem Kapitel über Atlanten), und decken sie alle Republiken der UdSSR ab. Mit umfassendem Autoren- und Sachregister. - Ausgeschiedenes Exemplar der Akademie der Wissenschaften der UdSSR mit Bibliotheksstempel und -nummerierung auf den Rückseiten der Titelblätter und den letzten Seiten sowie gedruckten Bibliotheksetiketten auf den Rückseiten der hinteren Umschläge und Deckel, innen gut erhalten.
Geography and Travel – Russia. - Soviet Union. - A very rare bibliography of the Library of Congress (LOC) on geographical works from and about the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union. - Typoscript containing 4,421 bibliographic entries on works "originating from and describing the USSR" (preface) as well as Tsarist Russia from the 19th century onward, compiled by Nicolas Rodionoff from the Reference Department of the Library of Congress. The entries primarily concern works in Russian, but also in other languages, including works in the fields of geography, discoveries, expeditions and travels, economic, historical, physical, political, and military geography, as well as cartography (with a chapter on atlases), and cover all republics of the USSR. With a comprehensive index of authors and subjects at the end. - Ex-Library copy of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR with library stamps and numbering on the reverse of the title pages and the last pages, as well as printed library labels on the reverse of the back covers and front covers, a well preserved copy overall.
