10 Inkunabelblätter mit einem ganzseitigen Holzschnitt Die zehend Figur: Tierallegorie aus "Schatzbehalter der wahren Reichtümer des Heils", Anton Koberger, Nürnberg, 1491. Inkunabeln

Alte Drucke, Bibeln, Klassische Autoren in den Originalsprachen – Der schöne Holzschnitt nach Michael Wolgemuth (1434-1519) und Wilhelm Pleydenwurff (1460-1494): Die 10. Figur zeigt die Opfertiere des Alten Testamentes. In einer Landschaft stehen sich zwei Rinder auf ihren Hinterläufen gegenüber. Das eine Rind ist aufgrund des Euters als eine Kuh zu erkennen. Zwischen den Rindern stehen sich in gleicher Haltung ein Widder sowie ein Geißbock gegenüber. Hinter den paarweise angeordneten Tieren erhebt sich ein Baum, um den sich eine Herde Schafe versammelt hat. Ein Vogel ist am Boden zwischen den Böcken, weitere Vögel sind in der Luft um der Baumkrone herum zu erkennen. Ein Fels massiv und eine Baumgruppe begrenzen jeweils an einer Seite des Bildes den Blick in die Landschaft (D. Bartl). Der Schatzbehalter ist das einzige Werk Fridolins, das bereits zu seinen Lebzeiten in gedruckter Form veröffentlicht wurde... gilt als Höhepunkt in der Geschichte der Nürnberger Druckerei. (Von dem seltenen Werke sind) heute weltweit knapp 140 Exemplare nachweisbar. - Teils etwas gebräunt u. fleckig bzw. etwas braunfleckig, im Unterrand teils schmal etwas wasserrandig, kleiner, Abb. mit restauriertem Randeinriss u. sehr kleines Löchlein mittig.

Prints before 1600, Bibles, Classics in Original Languages – Incunabula. - This beautiful woodcut, based on works by Michael Wolgemuth (1434-1519) and Wilhelm Pleydenwurff (1460-1494), depicts the sacrificial animals of the Old Testament. In a landscape, two cattle stand facing each other on their hind legs. One of the animals can be identified as a cow by its udder. Between the cattle, a ram and a billy goat face each other in the same posture. Behind the animals arranged in pairs stands a tree, around which a flock of sheep has gathered. A bird is on the ground between the goats, and further birds can be seen in the air around the tree's crown. A massive rock and a group of trees each frame the view of the landscape on either side of the picture (D. Bartl). The Schatzbehalter is the only work by Fridolin that was published in print during his lifetime... and is regarded as a high point in the history of the Nuremberg printing house. (Of this rare work) just under 140 copies are known to exist worldwide today. - Partly slightly browned and stained or with some brown spots, the lower margin is partly narrow and slightly water-stained, a small illustration with a restored tear in the margin and a very small hole in the centre.
