Insgesamt ein breitrandiges, sehr gut erhaltenes Exemplar mit prachtvollen, großen Kupfertafeln.

Contemp. half leather with gilt stamped spine label (rubbed and bumped). - First edition. - Phillips-Le Gear 8899 - Atabey 286 - Blackmer 408 note - The extra illustrations mentioned by Atabey here printed on 1 double leaf. - The work shows a series of towns and castles conquered by the Venetians on the 16 double-page plates. - With the coat of arms engraving of the Duchy of Brunswick-Lüneburg. - Foxing and waterstaining, shaved-out area on the title page. Overall a very well-preserved copy with wide margins and splendid, large copper plates.
