Bemerkungen auf einer Reise von Kopenhagen nach Wien im Jahr 1793. Hamburg, B. G. Hoffmann, 1795. Ss. I-IV (Titelbl., Vorw.) u. Ss. 5-184. Kl.-8°. Pbd. d. Zt., bezogen mit Kiebitzpapier und goldgepr. RTit. auf Papierschild (etw. bestoßen und berieben).

Geographie und Reisen – Erste und einzige Ausgabe des privaten Reiseberichts. - Nicht in VD18. - Enthält 10 meist unterhaltsame Briefe mit Reiseeindrücken u.a. aus Hamburg, Berlin, Dresden, Prag u.v.a. Wien. - Emanuel Bozenhard (1744-99) war Diplomat in Habsburgischen Diensten und fungierte u.a. als Österr. Generalkonsul in Dänemark. - Wohl in kleiner Auflage erschienen, wie auch das Vorwort des Autors vermuten lässt: "Nach meine Zurückkunft von Wien, ließ ich, dem Wunsch einiger Freunde zufolge, mein Tagebuch drucken und theilte diese wenige Exemplare unter denselben aus." (S. III) - Provenienz: Grosherzogliche Bibliothek Neustrelitz, mit dem Stempel der 1917 aufgelösten Institution auf Titelbl. verso. - Vorderer fliegender Vorsatz recto mit älterem biographischem Eintrag zum Autor, Papier etwas gebräunt, sonst wohlerhalten.

Geography and Travel – First and only edition of private travel accounts by an Austrian diplomat. - Contains 10 mostly entertaining letters with travel impressions from Hamburg, Berlin, Dresden, Prague and moreover Vienna. - Emanuel Bozenhard (1744-99) was a diplomat in the service of the Habsburgs and served as Austrian Consul General in Denmark, among other positions. - Probably published in a small print run, as the author's preface suggests: 'After my return from Vienna, I had my diary printed at the request of some friends and distributed these few copies among them.' (p. III) - Provenance: Grosherzogliche Bibliothek Neustrelitz, with the stamp of this institution, which was dissolved in 1917, on the verso of the title page. - Front flyleaf recto with older biographical entry about the author, paper slightly browned, otherwise well preserved.
