Bln. 1759 (zweite Ausgabe 1786). - Hier vorliegend nur Bd. 2 des bekanntesten Werkes von Berthoud, einem Meilenstein in der Geschichte der Uhrmacher-Literatur. Mit schönen Faltkupfern. Mit marmor. Buntpapiervorsätzen. - Mehrere montierte Besitzverz. auf Vorsatz u. Titel, 1 überstrichener Stempel auf Titel, vorderer Vorsatz im Innengelenk feuchtigkeitsrandig, Tafeln teils etwas fleckig.
Technique – First edition. - Vol 2 (of 2). With 19 (of 38) folded copper engraving plates. - Contemp. half calf, title and gilt to spine (hinges with burst, some rubbing). - Pages at the outer margin browned and partly stained. Several mounted ownership inscriptions on flyleaf and title page, 1 stamp crossed out on title page, front flyleaf with moisture marks on inside joint, plates partly stained, otherwise book block clean.
