Rangieren. 1974. Farbserigraphie auf Bütten. 59,7 x 43,6 cm (64 x 48,2 cm).
German Post War – Colour silk-screen on laid paper. Signed, dated, titled and numbered. - Verso two isolated, faint brown stains, very few, very slight handling traces, all in all very good and impeccably nice. Splendid, colour-rich impression with narrow margin, deckle edge on two sides. - One of 100 copies. - Annual gift by Kestner-Gesellschaft, Hannover. - The principle of seriality is decisive for Bayrle's artistic work. In the 1960s, he developes his own structural grid to create his characteristic image form: he composes a large image from many identical, repetitive elements. The so-called 'superform', the main motif, is formed from countless subforms. His works are influenced by American and British Pop Art.
