Minimalismus

Amerikanische Moderne – Amsterdam, Stedelijk Museum, 1991. Die Lithographien wurden in einer Extramappe dem Ausstellungskatalog in einer Auflage von 2500 Exemplaren beigegeben. Der beiliegende Ausstellungskatalog ist in einer Auflage von 5000 Exemplaren erschienen. - Die Zartheit der Werke von Agnes Martin wurde auf die Lithographien durch die Verwendung von Transparentpapier übertragen. In der seriellen Struktur entfalten die minimalen Linienraster und die feinen Tonabstufungen eine stille, rhytmische Ordnung.

Together with catalogue loosely inserted in original cardboard wrapper. - Only the wrapper minimally rubbed in the edges and corners. Overall very well preserved and in impeccably fine condition. Exceptionally splendid clear impressions with margins. - The lithographs were included in an extra portfolio with the exhibition catalogue in an edition of 2500 copies. The accompanying exhibition catalogue was published in an edition of 5000 copies. - The delicacy of Agnes Martin's works was transferred to the lithographs through the use of tracing paper. In the serial structure, the minimal line grids and the fine tonal gradations unfold a quiet, rhythmic structure.
