Eingelegt in Orig.-Halbleinenflügelmappe. - Die Ecken je mit leichter Bestoßung, in den Rändern mit minimaler und kaum merklicher Angilbung, verso in den Ecken und vereinzelt im Rand je mit leichter Bereibung als Spur vorheriger Montierung. Insgesamt sehr gut. Prachtvolle, farbkräftige Drucke mit feiner Körnung, je mit Rand.

Die Technik ermöglicht ihm, feine Linien und expressive Konturen zu kombinieren, wodurch die stilisierten Frauenfiguren zugleich greifbar und doch abstrahiert wirken, wie lebendige Skulpturen, die auf dem Laufsteg inszeniert sind - mal verführerisch, mal provokant. Jones spielt dabei mit den Codes der Modewelt und hinterfragt die Rolle der Frau als Objekt und zugleich als selbstbewusste Akteurin. Der Titel "Catwalk" verweist nicht nur auf den Ort der Präsentation, sondern auch auf die Spannungen zwischen öffentlicher Schau und persönlicher Identität - zwischen Selbstinszenierung und voyeuristischer Betrachtung - die in seinen Arbeiten eindrucksvoll zum Ausdruck kommen.

Inserted in orig. half-linen portfolio. - The corners each slightly bumped, in the margins with minimal and barely noticeable yellowing, on verso in the corners and isolated in the margin each with slight rubbing as a trace of previous mounting. Overall very good. Splendid, colour-rich impressions with fine grain, each with margins. - his portfolio 'Catwalk', Allen Jones presents a series of powerful colour etchings that address the complex relationship between fashion, femininity and objectification. The technique allows him to combine fine lines and expressive contours, making the stylised female figures appear both tangible and yet abstract, like living sculptures staged on the catwalk - sometimes seductive, sometimes provocative. Jones deals with the codes of the fashion world and questions the role of women as both objects and self-confident protagonists. The title 'Catwalk' refers not only to the location of the presentation, but also to the tensions between public show and personal identity - between self-dramatisation and voyeuristic observation - which are strikingly expressed in his works.
