Unter Glas gerahmt. - Herstellungsbedingt Papier im Oberrand leicht unregelmäßig beschnitten, punktuell leicht angestaubt, verso im Ober- und Unterrand blasser Atelierschmutz, insgesamt sehr gut.

Zeitgenössische Kunst – Rune Mields nimmt innerhalb des Kunstdiskurses eine außergewöhnlich singuläre Position ein, eindrücklich und von effektvoller Klarheit sind ihre Arbeiten. Autodidaktisch findet sie zur Kunst, verschafft sich ab den 1960er Jahren Zugang zu einem Metier, das für Frauen jenerzeit schwer erreichbar gewesen ist. Fortan entwickelt sie in unaufhaltsamer, forschender Manier eine unverwechselbare Formensprache, die das Beziehungsgeflecht von Naturwissenschaft und Kunst in den Fokus ihrer Darstellungen rückt. Die Mathematik zum Vorbild, entstehen konzeptuell geprägte Arbeiten, in denen Zahlen und Zahlensysteme in eine visuelle Bildsprache übersetzt sind. Allgegenwärtige Zeichen, die die Künstlerin auf der Bildfläche wiedergibt, entfaltet im unendlichen Raum der Kunst zu rational-irrational Gebilden.

Self-taught, she found her way to art and, from the 1960s onwards, gained access to a profession that was difficult for women to enter at the time. From then on, she developed an unmistakable formal language in an unstoppable, exploratory manner, focussing on the relationship between science and art in her depictions.
