Zeitgenössische Kunst – Entstanden anlässlich der Eröffnung von "Damien Hirst: Requiem" im Pinchuk Art Center, Kiew, Ukraine am 25. bis 26. April 2009 (Stempel verso). - Bereits seit den frühen 1990er Jahren experimentierte Damien Hirst mit seinen "Spin Paintings", deren Technik er stetig weiterentwickelte. Mithilfe eines rotierenden Apparats verteilt er flüssige Farbe durch Zentripetalkraft auf runden Malgründen. Geschwindigkeit, Rotationsdauer, Konsistenz und Farbauswahl bestimmen das unberechenbare Ergebnis.

Overall very good. Exceptionally dynamic work, colours in bright and fresh condition. - Created on the occasion of the opening of 'Damien Hirst: Requiem' at the Pinchuk Art Centre, Kiev, Ukraine, on 25-26 April 2009 (stamp on the reverse). Damien Hirst had been experimenting with his 'Spin Paintings' since the early 1990s, continuously refining his technique. Using a rotating device, he distributes liquid paint onto round surfaces using centripetal force. Speed, rotation time, consistency and colour selection determine the unpredictable result.
