Zeitgenössische Kunst – Die 1996 entstandene Serie von vier Fineliner-Zeichnungen setzt den langjährigen bildnerischen Fokus von Peter Dreher in ein reduziertes, graphisches Medium um und zeigt damit eine weitere Facette seiner konzeptuellen künstlerischen Praxis. In diesen Arbeiten verwendet Dreher den Fineliner als zentralen zeichnerischen Ausdruck: In feiner, gleichbleibenden Linienführung umreißt Dreher nicht die Oberfläche des Glases, sondern vielmehr dessen Reflexionen und Spiegelungen, wodurch die Zeichnung selbst in den Vordergrund tritt und transparentes Material, Lichtreflexion, Kontur und Raum in Form von Leerstellen zum Ausdruck gebracht werden.

Overall very good. - The series of four fineliner drawings, created in 1996, transforms Peter Dreher's long-standing artistic focus into a reduced, graphic medium and thus shows a further facet of his conceptual artistic practice. In these works, Dreher uses the fineliner as a central graphic expression: in fine, consistent lines, Dreher does not outline the surface of the glass, but rather its reflections and mirroring, whereby the drawing itself comes to the fore and transparent material, light reflection, contour and space are expressed in the form of empty spaces.
