Leicht wellig aufgrund des pastosen Farbauftrages. - Insgesamt sehr gut. Prachtvolles Werk, mit lebendigen Pinselduktus.

Klassische Moderne – Lothar Zitzmann (1924-1977) entwickelte eine eigenständige, formal reduzierte Bildsprache, die zwischen Figuration und konstruktiver Ordnung vermittelt. Seine Arbeiten zeichnen sich durch klare Konturen, flächige Volumen und eine betont strukturierte Komposition aus, in der das Motiv auf wesentliche Formen verdichtet wird. Zitzmann arbeitete häufig mit einer ruhigen, zurückgenommenen Farbigkeit und legte besonderes Gewicht auf die Beziehung von Figur und Raum.

Some waviness due to impasto application of paint. - Overall very good. Splendid work with lively brushwork. - Lothar Zitzmann (1924-1977) developed a unique, formally reduced visual language that mediates between figuration and constructive order. His works are characterised by clear contours, flat volumes and an emphatically structured composition in which the motif is condensed into essential forms. Zitzmann often worked with calm, restrained colours and placed particular emphasis on the relationship between figure and space.
